Good ole Squad Leader...still have all the editions boxed up in my closet somewhere.
I had to smile when I saw the title

...found myself instantly transported (for a moment there in my mind) back to my parents basement with all my friends playing those scenarios out. Where did the time go? Good Lord, just thought that over...Has it really been something like 20 years?
Anyway, can't wait to see it Jess!

I just went rummaging through the basement and found the Sowchos 79 scenario - I remember playing this one years ago! (I played it solitaire - it was hard to find opponents up here for SL

). I look forward to the adaptation - first few turns were fun for German player! I found a lot of cool stuff in those boxes... old scenario notes, campaign rosters, and a few tackle boxes chock full of punched and filed counters!!! Haven't looked at that stuff since we moved about five years back. Memories indeed... played it in High School with friends, but over the years opponents dwindled to none (didn't stop me from buying pretty much every module though

). Even tried to teach the wife to play, despite the fact she can't tell a Kubelwagen from a King Tiger:D
P.S. tried to teach her Spwaw also, but some things are just not to be...

It seems a valiant attempt. You are to be commended, Sir, as is she.
I recall the ASL scenario too. But I'm afraid to go digging in the closet for fear of what it may start - again.

I once covered my entire diningroom floor with ASL maps, I played as the Brits and my freind took the Germans, we used the entire counter mix! It took like 3 hours for 1 turn! I like the computer mouse alot but I miss pushing those counters around sometimes!

What I miss is being able to grin widely across and acre of ASL boards, as my opponent suddenly realizes what deep doo-doo he's really in.
