Posted this one here so it wouldn't diisappear on the first page.[:D]

Anyone had any success flying these missions?
My nightfighters will do airfield and port attacks, but not the other two.

Anyone else?

Hm, yes now that you mentioned it I have noticed that too, at least for sweep missions. My NF squads are always healthy and sound with
about 1-2 missions per pilot and no fatigue although set to sweep enemy bases for a couple of weeks... [&:]

As per the manual, page 158, escort is a disallowed night air op.

Did you try LRCAP? I haven't, but that's what I used in Witp for NF.

No escort, I can live with that.

How about sweeps?
Be nice to use my P-61's and others.

LRCAP?
Nope, want to sweep or escort night city attacks.
So that option wouldn't really help.

It wouldn't? It would put your fighters over the target hex, where they have a chance (small though it may be) to engage the enemy.

It's January '42 4 me & the Japanese haev been running in moonlit bombing missions in the PI and Malaya (particularly Singapore).  I have put up the remnants of a few battered & bruised squadrons to try and stop them, so far I have shot down absoultely nothing air-to-air (flak over Singapore is either good/British or lucky as it has taken down a few IJAAF planes) and lost about half a dozen fighters in operational (ie night-time landing) accidents

Ugh...

Running LRCAP at 14 hexes with the valuable P-61's won't cut it.
Two or three might fly the hex against 30-40 Japanese defenders.
Not my kind of odds.[:D]
