Can start earlier thant 12/41 ?

As the subject can we start 1/1/41 or even 1940 ?

At least in WitP you could start on 22/6/41 and ignoring some hard-coded issues like no Japanese factory upgrade until '42, everything else worked fine. In AE I think the same happens, you can start earlier in 1941, don´t know about the hardcoding though.
Dali has been trying to create a scenario in 1940 and he always gets a crash back to the start menu, so there seems to be a problem with that year.

It hasn't been tested. I believe AE has fewer hard coded dates than WitP did, but there are some and they might trip you up.
As the fine print usually says, "there is no warranty for that".

Almost all devices/aircraft/ships/LCU's/etc. in the database have a start date of 12/41. You would have to change them otherwise you might not see much until 12/41.

Excellent i like a mid 41 start , i like Terminus France refuses Vietnam scenario but think it would have brought war early, suppose i will need to add the Siberian divisions.
