Just have a question about guard troops. They start with a morale of 10, yet each division appears to have 8k men when created. How do they get up to 10,000 men with a morale of 10?
According to the manual morale can't be raised above 8. Are the Guard units an exception?

I have noticed that Guard "replacements" do NOT lower guard morale (even though the would technically have a morale much less that 8 or 10 and should if doing the proper "averaging" other units use). I THINK the only way the guard can lose morale is through COMBAT.
