Existing game and new patch

Is there an issue with running an existing game with the newest patch? I am 10 days into the 1943 long campaign and the first turn after the patch I had at least two full squadrons of Stirlings crash on their way out of England on a night raid.

would need more info, I have never seen something like this
(are you sure, you didn't have some very late landing raids in the days before hand (you want to try and make sure all raids land before the next day shows up)
patch shouldn't of had any effect like this that I know of
