Just bought JTCS, downloaded zip file, unzipped, ran the programme, but no start menu appears on desktop. When I go to the game directory I can see the auto run file, which when clicked brings up the main menu, but when I click the main menu items to to play nothing happens ? Can't see any exe. files anywhere ?

What am i doing wrong ?

You should also install that UPDATE, 1.04 being the latest.

There should have been a shortcut put on your desktop.

If not, I believe you can access the installation under Program Files -- John Tillers Campaign Series or something or other, I am at work and don't have access to the exact install path.

Alternatively, you can browse in Windows Explorer to where you installed the game, view by details, sort by type and double click on the revelant EXE file.

I have the latest version and have downloaded this twice with same result. Still nothing on desk top.

I did the search on the exe files and when clicked get "This application has failed to start because audiere.dll was not found.

Ahh, for some reason that library file didn't get installed, thus the game won't run. It is a 500kb file. if you can't still reinstall the game, one of us can send you the file, I'm sure.

I bought the cd, so am not familiar with the installer of the downloaded version, but that file must be in each directory, WF EF RS.

I would re-download.This is exactly why I get the CD version when-ever I can, because alot of things can go wrong and get corrupted while downloading something.I just had it happen to me with the War in the Pacific:AE update.
