What does it mean when aircraft replacements is grey? The example in the manuel on page 147,148 have this option grey but does not explain how to get replacements active. I have II US fighter comand HQ at Cairns and a sqaud of 6 P-40s (25 max) attatched to the II fighter sqaud and showing 12 aircraft in pool, but the tab is grey and am unable to add replacements. What do I do?

Usually either

a) not enough supplies , iirc 20k

b) not in command range of an Air HQ or theatre HQ (range depends on HQ)

try chamging the unit command to Australian (unrestricted) , should help if supply is nomnal.

Good Luck

Most often it is because the replacements are delayed.

What causes them to be delayed?

Well, as I stated in the first post, the II U.S. fighter command is in the same hex, the group is attached to the II U.S. fighter command. Supplies are at 6000 of 2000 required. You need 20000 supplies for replacements?

The unit must be at a base with 20000 supply, or in range of the unit's Command HQ AND the Command HQ is at a base with 20000 supply. The Command HQ is the higher, theatre-level HQ. IIRC, II U.S. Fighter Command's would have SWPAC as a Command HQ.

There is more information about a/c replacement on pages 255-256 of the manual.

Hope this helps.
