BoB Victory Q.

I've just beaten Termy in a PBEM game on day 30. However we were both expecting the game to carry on for another month or so, the scores were an AS of 4 and Industrial Damage Score of 3. According to the manual there's enough of an AS score for the LW to continue the campaign, with the next score check at the end of the 2nd month.

Is this how it's meant to have ended? Or should there be more to the campaign. I've got saves available for the past several turns, mostly after my movement phase and some from before the action phase.

I think it is:
End of first 31 days = 8; end of second 31 days = 9; end of third 31 days = 10; etc.
total score to keep BoB going

I sent all of the readme's to the writer, I wasn't able to read the manual during the making of it

but this is from the 2nd readme

(2) 1940 One-month and Full-Length Campaigns: As the German player, you must now score a
combined total of 16 points to win by the end of the game. Also, at the end of the first 31 days
of a full-length campaign, in order to continue play, you must have accumulated a total
of 5 Air Superiority (AS) points.

so, sorry, but it looks like the manual was wrong on what was needed

(maybe you owe T a 2nd game:)

Hm... Still weird it kicked in at the end of day 30, rather than day 31, no?

depends on how the game counts the days, for most of the timed stuff, it seems like it is a day early

I'd say it's a day early as well, neither of us can do anything on day 31. Still, Terminus lost [:'(]

just guessing, but the first readme says at the end of the first month, the 2nd one says the end of 31 days (kind of a pain, to have a mid month start and then use the months as the victory timer)

also, looks like it says score is figured at the end of the overnight repair phase (so, to all intent, that is the next day, not sure how it works with the passing of days in the game though)

so, just for the idea of what is going on, what is the date the game ends, and what does it say for the turn number ?

(save won't help me, your BTRdata stuff is going to be different then mine)

now oddly, we also have people winning the game, the day after they get the needed score

And to you I say, harumph! Maybe you should go and buy a white suit, like Herman, you've both got something in common [:'(]

hmmmm, should I be rude :P

to be honest, I think the game can count, it just uses a different style of math then people expect (at times, very different !)

Maybe linked to August having 30 days?  Maybe the game just realised T was going to lose and spared him the hassle of watching his chaps get shot down for another day. [:D]

I want a quiet Christmas. Looks like both of us are going to be disappointed [:D][:'(]

P.S. There's a spelling mistake on the victory screen. It says hurling instead of hurtling. Obviously T wouldn't know this....
