Please can someone tell me where I can find which engine goes with which plane.

Also what do you think are the great do`s and don`ts regarding aircraft production (please say which scenario).

.At the moment its' all under the production screen - you have to pick an airframe to change to find out which.

Once I've finished my back deck, I'll be starting the programming for the next patch, to include some screen layout changes, which will solve your dilemma

To find which engine goes with each produceable aircraft you can go to the switch production screen for frames. When you select a different frame to produce, it will tell you which engines, (and parts,) are needed for each of them. Then you can simply hit "cancel" so that the changes don't take effect.

I am playing BoB40 full campaign right now. I removed all Blens from production. You will get a few from bomber conversions anyway. I haven't had any German night attacks so I'm not losing any and they'll all switch to Beaufighters at some point. The Blen uses the Mercury engine and is the only produceable aircraft that uses it. These can be converted to Merlin 3 for your Hercs, Spits, and Defiants. I like to convert the Mercurys to Hercules to boost my Beaufighter production so I can replace the Blens faster. You can also produce Merlin 12s instead. The 12 is used by Spit 2s. Currently there is a bug which causes the Hurricane 2 to use the Merlin 12 as well in the 1940 campaign only. (In real life, and in the other campaigns, they used the Merlin 20.) You can produce the Merlin 20, but because of the bug there are no aircraft that use it in the 1940 scenario. The Spit 2 and Hurricane 2 are actually not very big improvements on the earlier models. In fact, the Hurricane 2 is somewhat worse than the Hurricane 1 in the interceptor role. The only real advantage to the Spit 2 is that it has a much higher ceiling which can be useful for shooting down recon aircraft.
