Hi,

1-2 weeks ago I bought a physical copy of this game directly on your site and after receiving the shipment it without problems, when executing installation file:

CloseCombatWachtamRhein-SetupRelease-450DRCD.exe

an error appears stating that setup has found a problem and must close (in Spanish).

I have tried on other computers under XP and all fail the same way. I have also tried to run under W95 compatibility to no avail. also, delete irsetup which was created on temp directory.

The error states:

AppName: irsetup.exe
AppVer: 7.0.6.1
ModName: irsetup.exe
ModVer: 7.0.6.1
Offset: 00133c00

It generates this file as an error:

I have recieved the copy but unfortunately the same problem applies. [&:]

I have found message "Installation Issues" under the route:
All Forums >> [Current Games From Matrix.] >> [World War II] >> Panzer Command: Operation Winter Storm >> Panzer Command Support >>

It tells something about changing properties for IDE adapters for the CD/DVD player/recorder. I can check on my PC if I can see something similar. It seems a bit dangerous to modify, though.

Any other suggestion? The CD seems to be ok and I can install one downloaded patch for CC Wacht am Rhein without problems (as with other patches and games from your company, obviously the game does not run because it is only a patch but it verifies I can run an irsetup file on my PC). So perhaps the previous message could be valid?

I tried to change the IDE configuration but to no avail. Curiously, I bought CC Cross of Iron several months ago and installed without problems (and it also uses irsetup). So the problem must be the files compressed in the file included in the CD which, for some reason, has been created with some fault. The file in itself is ok, but not the programs included. I must have bad luck. Other games from Matrix I have bought have been installed without any problem.

Thanks

Santi

Good morning,

I have tried to install it again in other PC and it appears the same problem. It must be a bad installer. What can I do? Must I open an issue or try to reopen it? Get a refund or what?

Thanks

Santi

weird that you have another copy with the same problem

Go through Matrix support would be your best bet.
