I have trench points available (I get a prompt about whether I've spent them all when I try to end the Strategic Phase) but the manual doesn't say how to deploy them. Anyone know how it's done? Thanks!

Trench points can only be spent during the orders phase of an impulse. Left click on a unit during that phase and a list of available options will come up. Entrenching is one of the options. If the unit is eligable, that text will be highlighted.
