So-
How in the Puck DO you install MODS?
Der Ost Front map pack has been extracted to "maps" folder, plug-in automatically installs to "plug-ins" folder>>>
now what????
Hard to believe theres not a fricking sticky somewhere on this site to explain HOW to install mods for cc3.

Download the mod file eg DerOstFront2pluginforCoI.exe (DOF2)
Run the exe which will install Der Ost Front to your plugins folder.
When that is complete
Open ModSwap from Command Center.
From the File menu choose Install and select DerOstFront2.cc3
Click on Open and OK to install.
Close ModSwap.
Select Play from Command Center to play CoI with Der Ost Front Mod Installed.
You can Download the mappack to play further operations.

Thanks, got it worked out.
Installed Commonwealth Summer Mod and it crashes trying to play GC. Installed with same method as DOF.
Is the CS GC broken and unplayable with COI?

Should be fine
At what point does it crash?
Surely you haven't finished the DOF campaign already?

Definately haven't finished DOF yet...just checking out the other goods.
So the Com Summer DL is a winrar file...doesn't self extract to plugins. I'll try extracting to plugins and see how that goes. It's been crashing as soon as I go to the game map to set up force locations.

Not sure why it's not a self installere... but works fine anyway.
Unzip the CommonwealthSummerV84.cc3 file to your C:\Program Files\Close Combat\plugins\ folder
When that is complete Open ModSwap from Command Center.
From the File menu choose Install and select CommonwealthSummerV84.cc3
Click on Open and OK to install.
Close ModSwap.
Select Play from Command Center to play CoI with Commonwealth Summer Mod Installed.

Commonwealth Summer GC crashes for sure at map start up. Looks like it could be a fun mod with all those Air Fwd Controllers...canucks, SS, and normandy...but it definately isn't playable for me.

Any error message?

No error message per se- it takes me directly to the windows blurb about "do you want to send errror report" to microsoft.
I've deleted the plug-in and map pack which I DL'd from the COI/matrix site, map pack extracted to map folder, plug-in extracted to plug-in folder, installed thru mod swap.
Game would crash after I'd selected troops and clicked to go to map to set up troops position on maps...crashed every time I tried to play normandy GC.

Well, that happens to me too when playing with Commonwealth Sommer, when I try to load the first map of Normandy Campaign.
There should be something wrong with the beach maps too as I couldn't even see the map overview (thumbnail?).
The mod also affects the Russian Front operations, why not to disable them as it was done with the battles?

Same as well.....Crash.
Normal cc3 has encountered a problem & need to close error.
The single battle Assaulting the Aerodrome works for me....but thats it.
I also get the old Rectangle Provided was Invalid error.

Hi Andrew,
I just installed the Finland v. Russian mod (from the Matrix/CC website). I managed to get the plugin to work correctly and DL the required map pack (from the far right column on the CC website). I unzipped the map pack into the map folder under close combat on my C drive. I am able to do the mod swap and click play and I get the Finnish flag and units but the battles are all listed as they were in the vanilla game (Germans v. Russians) and none of the corresponding maps have been changed to the Winter War game.
Am I doing something wrong with putting the map pack I DL into the map folder? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian
Edit: I figured out by looking under the campaigns that the maps are there. I'm going to try it out right now!
