Withdraw into a Cossack

Hi all
in our game, a French force was able to withdraw into an area containing an unbeseiged enemy Cossack, which I am pretty sure is not allowed. Can someone confirm this is not allowed by the rules, and is therefore a bug?
DB.

DB,

I believe you are correct. Original rules say withdrawals are executed like retreats, and retreat cannot be into an area containing an enemy cossack.

I'll email you a save titled Withdraw into Cossak. Unfortunately, it is after the fact, but you can see the French army and cossack sharing the same space.

Marshal,

Just a heads up.  This thread and the threads entitled "Ansbach does not appear....surrender cnditions" and "Blockade box unreachable" are all the same game.  DB is the PR player in that game.  When he sends you his file you will be able to see all 3 of the issues that are going on.  In the case of Ansbach, which he is trying to take as part of his victory choices, the main FR army and the cossack are in the northern area of Ansbach, while a PR corps is in the southern area, though not currently beseiging Nuremberg.  Whether the two bugs that are occurring in Ansbach are connected, I don't know, but I figure it's better that you have that information.

Keep up the good work,
ER
