Could the poor drawnings of tanks change into photo pictures or something like that?

This could be possible  -in theory
I remember that someone -Flanker I believe- reworked the graphics. There is a way to convert the equipment pictures to bmp or png, dunno what it was.
So pictures , sized to the required measurements, could be converted back

Silvanski and Flanker know a lot more about WIR graphics than I do, but I would be very surprised if you could use photo type graphics in WIR. The small amount of editing work I have tried on maps and unit icons, confirms that WIR uses very low grade graphics, compared to what is available today. The map tiles have a definition of 16x16, or 32x32, depending on the map scale being displayed. Unit icons use 16x16 pixels, I am not sure of the definition used by the equipment graphics, but I would be surprised if it was much better. The definition is so low that what you have now is probabily as good as it can get, unless the others know more. [:)]
