Ok my PBEM is killing my airfields.....is there an option to highlight the airfields (with planes on them) in BTR during the combat phase. I like the feature in the planning phase. I can never remember where all my occupied fields are....

I think that is only active during the planning phase

hmm so I have to memorize where they all are?? Yikes
That is a pain for sure. Is there a setting to have the AF/Sqn scramble if enemy planes are approaching?

nope, sorry, but that is one of the goals of a PBEM game, to confuse, distract the defender, so he don't notice this or that raid

but over all, depending on the time of the game, anything close to the coast, can be in danger

for what ever reason, the bases in the MED seem to have a very slow reaction time

this feature would be very useful

Although not as ideal as instant highlighting, you can select the Order of Battle from the Campaign Summary during the movement phase and highlight the bases for a particular command, and then roam over the airfield to see the status of the planes. It's a start anyway.[:)]

Such a tool as you describe would have to update constantly as planes take off and land.

I’d like to see a new option to highlight known enemy airfields with aircraft on them during the planning phase. Anything with recon photos within the past 5 days only though, as longer reports are unreliable. Especially if your opponent is constantly moving his groups.

When I send out dozens and dozens of recons to enemy airfields, it can take hours to mouse over every single airfield looking for a field that enemy planes were spotted at, especially since I immediately plot a mission when I find one and inevitably end up rechecking empty fields multiple times in a planning phase. A red highlight on enemy airfields with planes on them would be very helpful.

we do have something like that already in there

so for fighter sweep, click on target list, click on planes and it will show airfields with planes on them

clicking on any of them, will show you where it is at

which for a bombing raid, it is easier

do a bombing raid, click on target list, click on Airfields, click on planes, to show which have planes, you can then click on the target name, and it will show you the target

and or, you can then click on Target, and it will assign that as the target for the raid and then take you to the rest of the raid set up stuff

Harley is working other areas right now, he can only work on one thing at a time, once his stuff is done, there is some stuff I would like looked at, after that, if he thinks he can do something like this, we can see
