This is my first post,
I own the game since 1 week now and I'm so impress. I just wonder when I'm gonna be able to handle this game, so much thing to care about, but for sure this is the game I was looking for. I've played alot HOI series and I thought no game was better, but I think I was wrong. I made search and found this title... wow! I run the game on one screen and on the other I have my precious manual and the tool witptracker 1.04 (which is so amazing). I think people who play that game are.... freak! (anyway my girlfriend think that too... poor her, when she realise in what i'm in)
I'm not good in english, but I just want to say thanks to Matrix, I'm gonna be here for a while. [&o]
Ho, and I'm wide open for any beginner's tips...

Welcome....
Go to the opponents wanted forum and advertise for a new player to try out a small scenario. (Guadacanal is a good one) Practice with the AI but don't just play the AI as you will develop bad habits. PBEM is the only way to really experience this game.

Welcome to the game Tatoune. Yes the game is deep and complicated but just take it slowly, have the manual handy and be patient. Play against the AI in order to learn the game at your own pace. And visit the forums often. There are a lot of people willing to help out.

Welcome to the forum.
There is a lot of good advice available here, many good AARs. The AI is excellant, and will give you a very enjoyable, challanging game, both small scenario and grand campaign. Be wary of PBEM, there are many players who use bad tactics which will spoil your experience.

When you play against the AI, you do it all yourself. It is a very good learning tool and will give
you a very good game (at least the Admirals Edition will). In a PBEM game, why do a one on one
again vs. a human opponent (makes no sense) To truly get into the logistics end and get a sense
of working with others, do a 3 vs. 3 game. Only then will you realize that the game takes on a sense
of historical realism !!!

Welcome to the forum. This is perhaps the most absorbing game I've played. Ask questions, look around and keep a sense of humor. Nearly everyone here is a character. I mean that in a good sense. Our French cousins have found a home here, Gladiatt and others. If there is something you want to express in your native tongue feel free, there are many polyglots here.

Trust me. Your English is better than my french. As a matter of fact, your English may be better than my English. And I'm a native speaker.
