Do battles have a set number of turns?

I tried the demo out, and it abruptly ended on me. Is there a set number of turns for how long the battles last?

I tried the demo out, and it abruptly ended on me. Is there a set number of turns for how long the battles last?
not really, there is a 'victory progress bar' on either side of the lower part of the screen (the HUD area). when one side reaches the top, that is the Victor and game ends. The guages measure victory points achieved. Most run 20-30 turns I'd guess.
