Ah, the cannons tell you it is not Okinawa......they look to be 12lb Napoleons.......I would say definatly US Civil War, but there are alot of those battlefields around.

Definitely Gettysburg.  I was there last April.

Looks like Gettysburg, between Cemetary Ridge and Little Round Top, somewhere near the Peach Orchard.

So much of this PA/MD farm country is difficult to differentiate to these old eyes. I'll say Antietam, just to be different. It certainly looks to be US Civil War mid-Atlantic area...

I suppose it could be Antietam, particularly if that's a Confederate battery facing towards the cornfield.  The fairly new buildings on the far right don't fit into anything I remember from Gettysburg, but at Antietam the cornfield and surrounding area is still privately owned (but has an agreement with the NPS to keep growing corn there).

IIRC, Gettysburg has monuments everywhere, marking the locations of both Union and Confederate units. I'm not sure it is possible to take a picture of the battlefield without getting at least one monument in the picture, so I don't believe this is a picture of Gettysburg. Doesn't really look right for Antietam, either.

Hmmm, that could be insightful deductions Watson - notice the people walking on the left side of the trail.... (could be tourists from Nu Zalind I suppose..)

I'm going to guess Antietam as well, because Gettysburg has more hills in the area than that shows. I doubt Waterloo because the cannon on the left looks like a 3" rifle not a bronze napoleon like the other two.

It looks too open for a Virginia or a Western battlefield. It could be Gettysburg but from the ground, I am not sure. The Peach Orchard was on a knoll, and faced a ridge that I can't see here. But I can't think of any other Eastern CW battlefield with this kind of open configuration, so I'll have to go with somewhere on the 3rd Corps front at Gettysburg.

I don't think its gettysburg or antietam, but it's been awhile since i was at either.

Defianetly an ACW battlefield. Fence! there were nothing like this in Europe.

Might be anything. Bull Run, Antientam, Gettysburg or a 100 of different other places.

The groundcover is lespedeza, a plant common in the eastern US (or at least the southeastern US).
 
This could be Chickamauga or Stones River (Murfreesboro).
 
I don't think it's Manassas nor the cornfield at Antietam (I think you'd see the sunken road there or some of the monuments).  Gettysburg is a possibility.

Looks like the forward slope of Monte Saint Jean. Split rail fences are common to that part of Belgium. As I recall from some of the latest research on the battle, it was the split rail fences that broke up Ney's charge, not the squares deployed reverse slope. The red aluminum buildings are part of the Hougomont farm complex... [:D]
