Also while we wait for DW, I've just seen some new screenshots for Supreme Commander 2. Don't know about you guys but I found total annihilation to be one of the most addictive strategy games I've ever played, but didn't feel like Supreme commander had as much character. Now it just looks like Chris Taylor and the dev team are going overboard with big, shiny, over-powered, ridiculously impractical units with it's successor. I guess that's what the masses want...sigh.

I wouldn't say that much Webbco they have also shown that the tech tree is going to keep smaller units capable at late game rather than becoming obsoloete after hitting tech 2/3 etc

TBH I don't think there is enough information to really get a good idea, yes there is a lot of noise about the experimentals, but that is one of supcoms signature pieces, the unit scale...

Yeah I love the TA and Supreme Commander series, it is one of the best RTS. I have been playing alot of Battlefield: Bad Company 2, the most real sounding, and best looking modern FPS out there.

I have also dabbled with Aurora, except it is very buggy for me in Windows 7.

Forgot to mention , I picked Global Agenda which can best be compared to Planetside. I will venture to say it is an improvement over PS.

Can't wait for SC2. Only month or so to go. I agree that there will be probably far to much mega-mecha experimental units, but hey it will be certainly more interesting to play than C&C 3+4 nonsense. In fact I think SC2 is expanded idea of rumored expansion for classic SC which was called SC: Experimentals... I want only one thing from SC2. Please retain UEF Tech 2 Point-defense, T3 Battleship and 'Duke' Artillery installation. I always spamming my most favorite buildings/units. Supremacy of shells over energy. [:D]

For now wasting time with Distant Guns (a lot of heavy projectiles in here! [;)]) and Supreme Ruler 2020.
