I know David Winters doesn't support Maximum Football anymore, but I was hoping some other people with the same problem might help me out here.

I just installed Max Football (version 1.3149) on a Windows XP system and I'm having problems with the video display. Every time I play a game, I get a "flickering" black thing (dont' know what it is) that disrupts the video a bit when playing. It can still see the game and players on the screen, but the "black flickering" is kinda annoying. Strange thing is i never had this problem running this game with Windows 98.

Has any experienced this problem? Is there a solution to fix it?

aren't the updates to 2.2.90 free for 1.x owners aswell? try the updates..

Yes, try to update first and see if it still occurs. If that doesn't work then make sure your video card drivers are up to date.
