What kind of music, if any, is there in the game?
Many other good 4x games have employed a good soundtrack like Civilization 4, Galactic Civilizations, etc. To compare with an indie game that is worth mentioning Ai War, it's got a very good soundtrack that is reminiscent of old tracker or mod music in a sense and it fits well with the 'retro' 2d look of the game and it's evil Ai.

It has good music which is well fitting for a space exploration game. You can also add your own music. You can hear it somewhat in the videos at YouTube.com.

Me too. The opening music in DW is what I would expect to hear. Elliot did a good job of what he chose.
I have music folders that I use for different games. I use Windows Media Player and make playlists for different type games. It plays in the background well, and I turn off the in game music.

You can also add your own MP3s to the music folder and DW will play them just fine.
