That's the best surprise news I've had yet. I am well looking forward to that game...and hopefully War in the East will be out too

I thing the bulge game could be great. .If they do not try to make it too much ala the ssg folks and there last few expansion/new directions.. imo remember I been buying all ssg stuff for decades!
the newwest GG gaame set in the East front, but think that may be a 2011 release..
Kursk 43 from BF, although they do some odd things this might be great..
and the Kursk title from the little company that did the tank sim karkov Steel Fury, they also got picked up by paradox...
looking for a good WW2 air war title, SIM... thinking about the newest Ir-2 wings, birds, sic, of Prey for PC

WitE and BftB. If those deliver, as I fully expect, I won't need any more wargames this year!
As far as other games go, I've pre-ordered the new 'Stalker' game and the Aliens v. Predator remake, but that might well be it. Unless there's something truly original that comes along; I'm currently playing 'The Void' from the same guys who did Pathologic and loving every second of it's total weirdness.

I think that Histwar will publish Les Grognards late this winter.
Also, there's apparently going to be a Gettysburg game from the survivors of MadMinute Games.
All in all, 2010 looks to be a better year than '09 for wargamers.

Had never heard of "Elemental: War of Magic" before this thread.
From the brief look I have had of this, is it going to be something like a fantasy Total War but with turn based combat? Have always wanted a Total War game but with turn based not real-time combat.

My "sure buy" list (in no particular order) would be...
Stardock's Elemental (I'm totally hyped with this! hope my old computer can handle it!)
Battles from the Bulge
AGEOD Rise of Prussia
AGEOD Vainglory of Nations (not sure if will be 2010 or a 2011 purchase...)
Fields of Glory expansion (Rise of Rome)
Cheers

I suppose you could say it's a little like a "Fantasy Total War" game. However, it would probably be more accurate to describe the game as a spiritual successor to Master of Magic, as Stardock had long wanted to make a sequel to it. (It was only after talks with Atari for acquiring the rights to the game fell through that Stardock proceeded to develop their own fantasy strategy 4x title.)
My personal take on Elemental is that of a Civilization/Total War hybrid set in a fantasy world. But that's just me. [8D]
