Would be great if this game could be played on Apples new gadget the I Pad!!!

With a twitch of a finger zoom out or in on the map etc.[:'(] Lots of possibilities....

I am not sure if the processor of ipad will be powerfuil enough.

Actually a game like this would be awesome on a device like the iPad.  Imagine ordering your generals around with your fingertips.

It's D&D but the idea is there. Sadly, this is a bit more than the iPad can handle.

Yes, the gestures for handling map and units control would be nice.

The iPad seems handy for web browsing at the breakfast table though, but nothing for use whenever CPU and graphics power is required (ie games/simulations). Besides the screen is just 768 * 1024px, which is much less than desired for our kind of games.

To me it seems like a diet MacBook Air/Netbook ie very neat and stylish but underpowered. Of course one could use it for reading BFTB documentation while playing on a real computer ("real" meaning about any computer not being a gene-modified iPhone)

Maybe iPad King Size 3rd or 4th generation (aka iSheet) will have what it takes but by then I predict that the BFTB series have evolved into something more power consuming.

Erm, does COTA run on Linux? I can't remember.
If so, I could imagine that this engine may run on Android, as it has a Linux kernel, means it could run on a Smartphone with a 1 GHz-CPU (Toshiba, HTC?). No?
The IPad touch has the same OS as the Iphone, so that won't happen, anyway.
