How do I get infantry to load boats to carry to water?

I think you just put infantry in the same hex as a boat, and then you press the load button, and if you have enough AP, it'll load.  I don't recall if it takes the same number of infantry SP as boat SP.  I suspect it does.  Once loaded in a land hex, you right click on the adjacent hex, and you should see men carrying a boat.  It's been a long time since I've done this, but I believe that's the way it works.
