Fatigue

Kept on intercepting without much regard for this factor, and most of my groups seem to have high fatigue. But is it high? Actually I haven't much to measure it by so was just assuming that below 10 is low but above 30 is high (talking re 1943 German long campaign).

My question is therefore firstly (again apologising if this has been covered before or is in the manual and I've missed it), what fatigue levels do you keep your groups flying before resting them?

Secondly, by what amount to groups recover fatigue? Is is constant on a daily basis, is there a random factor, and is there anything to be done to increase the recovery rate?

Fatigue directly affects performance. The sole pilot factor is XP, so fatigue reduces the effective XP. There is a floor limit, so noone fights at 0xp, but a 99xp pilot with 50 fatigue fights at 49xp. If he comes up against a 59xp pilot with 10 fatigue, they fight at the same level.

The floor level is above 25 and less than 50. More than that I will not say.

As for recovery, it's 75% overnight. If you have 50 fat overnight, you wake up with 12 or 13. Finish on 12, wake up with 4. There is no way to increase the recovery.
