New Addict Born :How to learn tactics

Hi, I have been playing SPWAW on and off since SP1 but never was too good at it. I have a couple of questions.

1. What is a good resource to learn about general battallion level war tactics (a source independent from gaming). I would like to learn military strategies and then see if I can try to apply them to SPWAW...

2. SPWAW is the only IGOUGO war game I have ever played. I am really interested in finding some others that can be fun for me. Paricularly, I want something that is more on the platoon level or company level. Or something of a larger scale but without the extreme attention to detail it takes to manage a battle like in SP.

P.S. I loved FF Tactics and UFO? (I think it waqs called UFO), is there something out there similar but with a WW2 genre? I love WW2 anything. From Medal of Honor to Band of Brothers to watching and reading all about the heroic struggle of the second world war.

Please someone point me in the right direction, there just sems to be so much stuff out there and I hardly have the time to download and try every game.

Thank you.

First, www.spwaw.com and go to the forums. All the help you could ever want.

For platoon level, here at Matrix, John Tiller's Campaign Series.

Company and higher, Advanced Tactics is highly recommended ( I don't own it) TOAWIII not for beginners I'm told, or wait for Combat Command.
