As far as I know, we don't have an exact release date yet; all we have is a rough idea of late Feb/early March [:(]

FWIW,
We were aiming for the end of February, but that's looking more unlikely. We've got a few last loose ends to still finish up. I'd say right now we're aiming for the first week of March and we're going day by day as far as any additional time required to wrap this up.
I should add that as noted earlier, we will release this when we are certain that it's _finished_ rather than at an arbitrary date and that can make release dates a bit unpredictable. With that said, we do have an internal schedule that we try to stick to and we are extremely close to release with DW, as noted above.

Ok, I'm somewhat eager to get this game, if the concepts are implemented successfully it may be a real milestone in the 4x game history. [8D]..But hey I remember MoO3 too [8|]

No mad rush yet.... finally sick of Star Trek Online, want to try Napoleon Total War then I am ready to sit down and play Distant Worlds. Feel that DW will be one of the select few games that stay on the hard drive long after the pretty but shallow games have been consigned to the great game scrapyard.

yep, had my surgery today. now i am not allowed to smoke for the next three days, which makes me suffer from severe nicotine withdrawal...so, basically, wiping out one or two civilizations would be exactly what i need right now

but yeah help his recovery ge well by releasing the best space sim evaaaaa. i havent even played it and i know i will love it

Good book on the pacific war is SHATTERED SWORD, it is mainly on Midway, but has a good overview.

Ok, looks like the first week in March. Come on guys announce the date, I have limited money in Paypal and I have put it aside for this game. so tell me how much and when!!!!!! I've just seen Napoleon Total war and it looks very good with good reviews but I want to spend my cash on this.......so give the donkey a carrot!!!!![:D]

The Total War-Series has produced quite a few high quality strategy games. However, somehow Europa Universalis is more to my liking - I don't like the mixed RTS/TBS-Approach, there doesn't exactly seem to be resource management at all and all armies have a fixed size. The character system however is a big plus for the TW-Series.
