The Tempest V is listed as a fighter and only can be used on fighter sweeps.
the Tempest V was a upgraded replacement for the Typhoon IB which is listed as a fighter-bomber, as it should be.Would it be possible to get the Tempest V use change so it can be used as a fighter-bomber in a bombing mission?

it wasn't a FB, it was a pure fighter (any fighter if set up, can carry bombs or be used as such)

which basicly, the Tiffy was a failed fighter, but was found it had good ground attack uses, so was kept in production, the changes to the Tiffy to make the Tempest, were to make it a fighter


Tempest still carries 2 1000 pound bombs, you can set the mission to use fighter as bomber and select it for bombing missions

more info. The Tempest shows on the fighter sweep list, but when I go to bombing mission, fighter attack on , the Tempest is not listed with the rest of the fighters. There fore I can't use it in a bombing mode.

As I stated in my update I am going to fighter attack ON and still no Tempest squad listed. I am in April of 44 and the Tempest is replaceing other aircraft.
I can use Tempest during fignter sweep and escort. But again when I go to fighter attack ON, there is no Tempest spuadron listed. I now have two, 1st and 56 squadron.

are you sure you are with in range with the Tempest ?

when I set it up, I can fly the Tempest on a bombing mission ?

The range is less the 50 miles from Tempest airbase to a target just across the channel.
I don't know why the Tempest will not show up under a bombing mission maybe later on is the game it will correct it self. Thanks for the help

there are a number of units that are followers, not leaders, but that seems a little out of wack

let me look at something

that is not it, I see both the 1 and 56 Squadrons being leaders
in the OVERLORD battle, I picked the 268 and changed them to Tempests, I can pick them to lead a bomb raid with Fighter Attacks on

give me a few more details on what you have set up ?

I changed the 1st squadron to a Spit and it still does'n come up under fighter attack on. It's the squadron and not the type of aircraft. I get Tempest to come up under fighter attack on, but assigned to a different squadron other then 1 or 56 squadron. Hope this makes sense.

I have three squadrons 1, 3, 56 all under 11 group, that will not show Tempest with fighter attack on.I assigned the Tempest to 421,175 squadrons under 83 and 84 group and all is good. Hope this helps

I am not sure what or why, you are seeing what you see

in my run, I had 1 and 56 both with Tempests and both able to lead the attack

which campaign are you playing ?

It's the 1943 long campaign.

I´ve tried to re-create your problem with several of the exex´s....but I have not seen this problem so far [:(]
