Is it possible to specifically issue orders for a night action? It appears to me that the shortest possible turn is 24 hours and therefore I cannot order a night action.

Am I miss-reading something?

You can issue aircrfat to fly night time missions. If you are playing as Alllied expect to see Jap bombers doing night bombing raids.

Ships and ground units move at night and will engage in combat if in the same hex at night.
