I have a couple of squadrons on the west coast that are scheduled for withdrawal February 2nd 1942, Basically when I click on the unit the Withdrawal button is unavailable and only way I can withdraw these units is disbanding them losing the planes and pilots.

Is there something I am missing here? Half my squadrons I can be withdrawn normally, some are unavailable, maybe I moved a HQ when I shouldn't of ?

I belive these were units that were historicaly transfered east and to the ETO so you have to disband them and eat the pilots and planes (as they were not present in the PTO)

Oh thats ok with me, I was just worried that even disbanding those I would still lose PP points for not withdrawaling them, thanks for clearing it up!

Now new question, do you do anything with squadrons that have withdrawal dates say, few months from your current time? I see no reason to bother even moving squadrons with withdrawal date 3 months or sooner for I have to use PP points to buy them anyway.

If they are restricted use the to train pilots like crazy. If they arent i use them a bit more agreesivly knowing that they are somewhat "dissposable"

When production is on, think carefully about withdrawling / disbanding AND reforming any squadron that is not a mandatory with / disb. If you choose to do this, you must have planes in the pool at the time of reforming or it will return with no planes.

There are a few cases where I find this function useful, but you should beware the cost before doing it.
