I would love to see some late war screenshots about Soviet units. To see how their power
has increased etc. And some unit screenshots as well please[:'(]

We don't have much of scenarios, but units (TOE) are set. Some examples:

A Guards Tank Corps has more men than a Guards Mechanized Corps, even though the Mechanized Corps has far more Guards Rifle squads? The only category the Guards Tank Corps has a lot more of is support, does that cause the difference?
Those Guards Rifle Corps look nasty, with that many men there are about 6 or 7 Guards Rifle divisions in it.

Yes

There is 3 divisions (11K) + Corps Artillery + Command and support. Don't forget that these are guards and just TOE. Real units should be smaller in size.

Ah, OK, so with an average Guards Rifle division strength of around 5000-6000 men, you'd indeed need 6 or 7 of them to fill up the Corps? I'm guessing the minimum of combined Guards Rifle divisions to form a Corps is 2 (as in: merge 2 divisions into a Corps)? Is there a maximum?

The way I interpret how this works, is, those are Theoretical ToEs. The actual units, obviously, would have far fewer devices.

Yes, I also think they're authorized paper strength. I think big paper strength TOE's are good, for reasons mentioned in other threads about how the results of the war could influence manpower and equipment pools.
During the early 1945 battles in Hungary, the average Guards Rifle Corps had 2 Guards Rifle divisions and no SU-76M's.

I'd love to see a 'Destruction of Army Group Center' scenario. I think it would be quite challenging to play from the German perspective.

Will it include the southern part of Finnish front? I'd recommend leaving out altogether, unless you are very well sourced about the subject (the largest battle in Scandinavian history etc.).

Was planning on including it although I'm getting frustrated trying to find English references on Finnish forces.

The problem is that the events after Soviets capture Viipuri (Vyborg) belongs to the category of "forgotten battles" (a bit like Operation Mars), for various reasons. I have plenty of Finnish sources on the subject, and could help you, but still think it would be better if it was left out. Too complicated for a sideshow, in my opinion.

Hi Trey,
Here is a site that gives good details on the actual TOE's of Finnish units.
http://www.jaegerplatoon.net/MAIN.html
Scroll down to the FORMATIONS (TO&E) section and you will find all of the WW2 information. Hope it helps in some way.

I don't know about you, but, I tend to disregard web-stuff that doesn't have any listed Sources...

Hi Brad Hunter,
My understanding from the author of this website is that the information is taken from - documents of Päämajan Järjestelytoimisto (Organising Department of General Headquarters).
