Really really stupid and basic game mechanics question

I just got TOAW III and am excited to play it -- I remember playing the first version many years ago.

But, I can't get this to work right...

I have a unit selected. I want to select a nearby unit. When I move my cursor over the nearby unit, I get the circle icon moving my selected unit. How do I de-select the first unit so that I can select a nearby unit with just a quick left-click?

Thanks!

Uhhh.......there's a manual inside the Matrix folder, maybe your questions will be helped by reading this first, eh?

or ... left click on the unit you want to select. Right click moves the selected unit, left click selects the unit under the cursor.

If you're just starting, it might be a good idea to go through the Tutorial article included (written by Norm Koger himself, I think, for the original TOAW I). Go to the "Tutorials" folder, select the Tutorial scenario and hit the "documentation" button.

Most likely because I'm indifferent to the poster's problems, O' Forum Guru! Reading the effing manual comes with buying the game.
