Goodaye,
Given that you sort your navy into fleets I was wondering if you have any ability to control how your fleets act in combat?
Eg. Do they all just turn up and every ship simultaneously attacks the enemy or is there a measure of tactical finesse that can be exercised either directly or via preset orders/controls.
Cheers,
Lancer

Fleets can be directed as a single unit, just like individual ships - i.e. you can assign a mission to an entire fleet. But you can then give other missions to individual ships within the fleet too, if you wish.
Each ship design has a set of customizable tactics that define how it acts in combat. This is stuff like how it attacks targets (weaker targets vs stronger targets, use long-range weapons or move to close range with all weapons, etc) and when it will withdraw from combat (shield level, etc).

Can you autoque orders (with shift)? Do long range attack ships stay at the back? Can you quickly select all units of the same type in the screen?

Customize tactics in game or edit file at desktop?
