I was just wonder if there will be any kind of official announcement from matrix, if the game will definitly ship today or tomorrow.

The "gone gold post" said that it might not have made it in time to the digital river store, to be out today. I was just hoping to get more of a clarification.

I think that it is now entirely up to how soon Digital River completes all they have to do for the pay system to function. The time it takes for Matrix to post that DW is now ready would be the same time it would take for them to post a message saying it's ready.

In other words, Matrix does not know until Digital River tells them it's ready. Then it's a scramble to post the availability on their main menu, and turn on the store option. That I believe takes just a few minutes.

If DR's only role in this is to facilitate the selling of the game... it would seem to me that they would be pretty good (and fast) at getting the game up and ready to go. I'm sure they have had a bit of a warning that Matrix Games was wanting them to get ready to sell the game and they would have gotten all things necessary to be done...done. That way, when they received the file / files that we will be downloading, they would just insert and GO!!

Oh well... I'll admit, I am not a patient man, and this game has just about gotten me frazzled with the wait. I'm sure I'll survive, though.

QA takes the time that QA takes. Normally final store QA is up to a three day process. We've already taken care of enough ahead of time given the rescheduled release that it should only take about a day.

They don't ever tell that information.
