Hi,

I can't launch the game on windows 7 64 bits. I tried under administrator and vista compatibility.

I forgot version 1.0.1

Not going to be of any help for you sorry, but just letting people know that I run it in Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate without any problems (besides not knowing what I'm doing [:'(])

Very important question - did you let the .NET and DirectX component installers run during the installation of the main game?

Yes i checked this. Work as cold water.

Uinstall. Install DX and FN again before game. Install game.

Same error with windows Xp, I'll try a new installation to see [:@].

Can each of you post a DxDiag please?

Also, just on a hunch, can you try switching your language to US English on the off-chance that makes a difference? What language setting is each of you running on your system?

I get the same problem, here's my DXDIAG.

My Dxdiag

Running win7 64bit 4gig ram nvidia9500m 512mg .   Just to say I don't find the zooming with the mouse wheel very smooth. Seem a bit choppy.  Tried various settings for graphic detail and zoom speed but always seems the same.   Also, when you turn the music down before you start a game it goes loud again for a second before returning to the level you set in the options menu just as your new game starts.   Nothing major, but I thought you might like to know.

Thanks guys, as a test please try changing your Regional/Language setting to US English and re-launch the game. See if that helps at all. We believe this is some kind of language setting issue that we did not find and is effectively Windows and the game having a fight over language.

The game and installer have been tested with Windows 7 64 bit, so we know it works with that platform.

Put default language to english but no change.

Yeah I already change and it works.

But man that sucks. Think about people who dont use forums. That is the reason why you always need some outsiders in betatest. Even if they bitching - you always can keep them in dungoon.

Ok, confirmed the issue and we are working on a fix.

I changed my own settings here to Polish and got the same crash. Changed them back to US English and no crash. I'm surprised we didn't catch this before release, we'll add a formal "region/language testing step" to our procedures for each release from now on.

Here's where you change it:

Control Panel Regional and Language Options Formats Tab for Windows Vista/7 (Regional Options Tab for XP) Set it to English (United States) until the fix is available

You may need to reboot after making this change.

Thanks for the fix, I hope though that the patch will make it so I don't have to have an English (United States) regional setting.

That's the plan, yes. We obviously don't want anyone to have to change their language settings to be able to play the game, but the fix is still being investigated.
