I got this error (message?) when I completed installation

I tried to load anyway (in case it was just a message) and got this error and can't play (won't start a game)

I've attached my dxdiag.

I'll try and see where I switch on/off the feature so I can install...but I'm really not sure where that is.

I didn't run the setup as Administrator (though I have an administrator account)...

Hi Judge,

You do need to run the setup as Administrator. Can you please give that a try? I don't believe non-Admin accounts have the rights to install components and such.

Your DxDiag looks good, I believe this is just an Administrator issue.

My account is an administrator account Erik.

However, I'm just going to try several things now, including your suggestion

I haven't seen this exact issue before, but it seems to be related to the fact that the Microsoft .NET 3.5 installation didn't work, so my first suggestion would be to take a look at what Microsoft's error message there suggested and see if it sheds any further light on what in your system configuration might have prevented that.

That error on game load definitely indicates that .Net was not installed properly JudgeDredd.

I'm sure you'll be fine after that's completely installed [:)]

Ok - it's fixed.

I went into "Turn Windows Features on or Off" and saw the .NET Framework 3.5.1 was off. Switched it off and restarted the game and it's fine (so far). If I run into any other problems, I'll uninstall, reinstall as Admin and go again.

Excellent to hear, odd that it was turned off though.

yep - not sure why it was turned off and how my computer has managed to be working (and other games) with it apparetnly turned off! STrange!
