Can you quarantine a system?

I uncovered a ruin filled with Giant Kaltors. My advisers foolishly keep sending mining and construction ships to that system. Can I quarantine the system or somehow stop them from sending more ships there?

So, an AI issue.

I don't think you can.

Great idea though to set up some kind of avoid mechanism. I wish the AI would quit sending my colonist ships to enemy (or non-allied at least) controlled systems.

Actually, you can uncheck that in the Options, take a look.

They'll try to avoid them once they get to the system, the problem with the space monsters is that they often wander around a system so the AI is reluctant to quarantine the whole thing and tends to rely on the local ship "escape" tactic getting them out of trouble. The best method right now is to use some force to clear things out for your private citizens. We'll see if we can make it a bit smarter about this in the future too.
