How long does it take to start seeing financial benefit from a Trade Agreement? I've had one for a couple of years, and nothing.

Along the same lines, if you ARE getting income from a Trade Agreement, and you "upgrade" to a Mututal Defense Pact, does the income continue?

Trade Agreements do make money, but there are other factors that come into play i.e Do you have resources they need?, Are you close to their empire?, Do they have resources you need? Is there a Trade Embargo happening to them?

The game I am in I have trade agreements, but I'm just too far away for the ships to travel.

Yes Mutual Defense Pact include the benefits of a Trade Agreement.
