make it so ships under construction do not show up on list. I find it confusing when I pull up a list of ships and some are still under construction and I can't tell till I go to give them orders.

Yeah I wish this too. They show up under both list the empire stats list and the ship list.

They need some sort of marker to tell you its not built yet, or under construction.

I actually find it useful to be able to select and form fleets from ships that are currently under construction, but I can also see where you would want to filter them out.

Or maybe just make it clear which ships are under construction then it solves both issues.

A mission type 'under construction' or 'building' or U/A (as unavailable) might be the the best solution to this issue.

I use the m button a lot to go through my ships, but unfortunately this also includes the ones that are under construction. This can be annoying sometimes.

Agreed Gertjan, annoying.  Construction ships already show up on the construction pane of the object building it.  I don't think they should show up on the overall ship list until 100% completed.  Or, have a separate tab just for them or perhaps a very obvious indicator (like there's a bright progress bar).

On the other hand, it could be useful to give orders to ships that are nearly finished.
