Need help with my Economy

So I had been doing great with my Economy with lots of overflow until recently. Now I am in the red and dropping and am trying to figure out what to do. How can I tell from this screen what I need to fix? Advice? Tips? Thanks!

Er ha I think I might have found the problem. I assumed the AI automatically adjusted or started tax rates on the new colonies. The only planet Ive been taxing is my home planet!!! Every other planet has a 0 tax rate! I wonder if this is another reason people are having problems with the economy ha! [8D]
We need an auto tax rate to keep pops happy like Dom 3 has!!!

Unfortunately, the image compression destroyed the red numbers. Can you re-post a less compressed image?
Also, other info - are you involved in any wars? Any trade sanctions or system blockades? How is your resource supply and demand looking on the expansion planner?

That would do it! Actually, there is an option to have the AI control colony tax rates, it's in the options. Turn it on and all should be well.

He he that is certainly a problem. It is little difficult to see on the screenshot because of compression, but you might also be able to disband some troops. In the early game you really don't need that many if any at all.

Ha thanks I did not even realize that I turned it off problem fixed!
