Simple request (I think)

Is it possible you can display whether you are in locked view mode or not.
I'll give you an example of what seems to be always happening to me...
I select a ship using the control box on the bottom left (lets say one of my resupply ships). I then click the lock icon so I can see where it is. I then go to the sector map and select a system. I drill down to the system and see there's a Gas giant there...so I want to deploy my resupply unit there. So I select the previous unit button to go back to the unit I was wanting to move...and BANG...I'm back where I was before. I then have to unlock the view, then go to the system, then select previous unit to get the resupply unit and then right click the planet to deploy.
Now that seems to be the little loop I get stuck in. The example might be bad, but the situation is a real one I face regularly. I'm sure if just above the control box on the bottom left it said "LOCKED VIEW" I wouldn't be quite as dumb...
