In my current game I'm at war with a large empire and things are semi-automated. My fleets are managing to take out the enemies star bases but for some reaon my troop ships just sit there and make no attempt to take over the planet. This was made even worse when right under my nose another empire took the planet I'd just fought to win.

What am I doing wrong anyone any ideas?

Are you running with fleet automation or are your fleets under manual control? What about your troop transports? How are you loading them with troops and how are you ordering them to attack?
