Annoying "Ding"

How do I get rid of the mouse click sound effects? I know how to turn off (or down) the music and game sound effects. But, I can't turn down or off the "dings" every time I click a button. The only solution I've found is to turn off the sound to the computer, which is not a good solution.

Thanks, Brad

I had to rework the klaxon sound effect ... message_Alarm.wav

There is a lot of killing in my games and even with the pop message turned off the klaxon remains.

All of the sound effects are open in the ...\Distant Worlds\Sounds\Effects directory.

Just create a quiet .wav file with the same name and replace it.

I would like a way to properly mute these sounds as well
I find it silly some sounds are not effect by ingame sound level adjustments
I have to use the OS sound controls to lower them individual of other programs lol

Sorry to necro a thread from way, way back. But I have sound issues with Legends & I want to know if they are fixed in Universe.

Three major problems:

1. the ding. it is really loud and not affected by the 'sound effects' slider. I want to control, minimize, or have the option to get rid of it. I don't need auditory feedback with every button press!
2. no mute? I want the option to mute everything, and there isn't one. I could turn the sliders down, but...
3. The volume sliders dont stick. I am running an auto game in the background to see whether I balanced things well, and... BOOM, here comes the music. It'll go away for a while, but it always comes back, regardless of where I have set the volume slider.

Please tell me that these are fixed in Shadows and Universe!

Somewhere in the modding forum I have a download for the alarm klaxon that is just a 3 second .wav of silence. The klaxon was happening too often to be bearable.
