SPWaW 1.0 is an outstanding product and I am looking forward to the enhancements of the update but I am having difficulties with the update. I downloaded the full 2.0 and tried to load on to my computer with no success. I get the "initializing setup" pop up window and the blue install shield screen shows for about half a second and then nothing. The install program kicks back to windows desktop without updating or loading version 2.0. I ordered the CD thinking the file I downloaded was corrupted but I get the same symptoms trying to load off the CD. I even tried shutting down all background programs prior to trying to load with no luck. Hope someone can help out. I'm looking forward to pumping out some new scenarios! I've been working on Soviet vs USA campaign and want to update it to 2.0.

I know you said that you turned off all programs running in the background, but did you disable your virus protection program if there is one? Or if there isn't one, maybe you should install one (with the most recent definition files and do a check of your system as there may be a virus! But then it should be disabled during installation. Also try doing the a Scan Disk (if you are running Windows 95/98) on the "thorough" setting, and then a defrag. Another thought is did you uninstall completely version 1?
