For you Robotech fans,
This is SDF-1 scaled at 500x500 , so it should look decent when full size. I added some colors to a rough line drawing. (Not my line drawing).
Updated-Running lights fixed, more coloring, general touching up.

Here is a
similar drawing, however the one I used was slightly modded. For the life of me I can't find the exact site I got the original.

Not to necro a old post, but I have done some headache inducing research into Robotech stuff for use in DW, and there is really nothing usable. Let alone something for the Zentradi ships. No 3d models, nothing top down. Veritechs of course got the most love, but I find it surprising that there is a lack of anything.
I guess Robotech/Macross is not as big here in the states like such staples as Star Wars, Star Trek, Babylon 5.

Thanks! [8D]
Even though I have been responding here and there in the forums, I have been coming back to the mod side of things, especially the Rebellion side of my SW mod.
The sad thing is my computer got a bad trojan/virus combo I had to blast it to be sure. So I lost all my Rebellion files, which I had about 75% done as far as the ship models go. They were really good, some I had to spiff up by hand.
Do getting back into, I was checking the Robotech/Macross potential and had to post my results here.
What we need is a talented 3D modeler, that is one aspect I am a complete novice in.

Well, I have all of your stuff, plus a few that I worked on myself and you are welcome to them all.
I tried the fighter thing by the way... eh... I keep it because SW without Fighters is like... well you get the idea.

I appreciate that, I am talking about stuff I never published to the forum here because there weren't completed. Like the Rebellion where I had ships like the Mon Cal Home One, Dreadnought, and such. The hard ships to get "good" top down models.
Don't fear I have finally got around to connecting my second monitor,Wacom, and Cs4, Sketchbook Pro all installed so I can be back in business. [:D]

By the way, this series of books contains awesome topdown artwork of all/most Zentraedi, Human, and Marduk ships. The art is all very high quality by the company DreamPod9 based on the original art stills and sketches.

I have acquired the Palladium Macross RPG series and all three volumes of the deck plans, great stuff especially for researching for a mod. However not too many usable images, and they will require much filling im and coloring because it is all in B&W. Although, it is a great headstart.
Like knowing what ship classes the Zentradi have and etc., will make a Robotech mod that much more easier.

yeah, it does lack full color. Maybe a modder could use Woodman's ship art technique to do something robotechish. It would be awesome to see all the different factions that were planned for the original Sentinels series included in a robotech mod...
