Campaign mechanics?

Hi all,
Is there a good description of the campaign mechanics in CC:TLD? I'm playing one of the operations as Axis (against the AI), and it's not clear to me how I should manage my forces. For example:
- Will I be battling over a particular map until one side is pushed away or destroyed?
- Can I surrender a map?
- If a BG gets anihilated, will there be other BG's on other (in-land) maps to take over? Or, are the BG's I'm starting with (on the maps along the sea shore) the only ones that I will have avilable?
- How to check battlegroup cohesion?
The manual sometimes refers to some of these things, but there is no single place that would explain in detail how a campaign actually progresses.
Best,
Michal
