Found the soundtrack for Ascendancy somewhere. Decided to try it in game. Still awesome.

I'd also recommend the music from the prequel to Ascendancy: Utopia: The Creation of a Nation. The SNES version has about 30 minutes of music.

And if you're looking for more space music, check out the Hearts of Space website. Really great stuff.

Ah yes, I think I used to play Utopia on Amiga way back. It had a unique soundtrack. Maybe that's floating around somewhere as well, could be fun. [:)]

Yes, fantastic!!!! I have spent hours and hours listening to the music in the past and it's great to listen to it again playing a 4X game!!!

Another game that Logic Factory made that has AWESOME music is the Tone Rebellion.
Not sure what the legalities on this are... but if you look around I'm sure you could find it.

I loved my floaters. [:'(] The mystics were my favorites. Thanks for reminding me.
I think there's an official soundtrack (cd) released along with the game back in 97.
Couldn't find that anywhere... however!

I did uhm, locate, the original sound files from the game cd.
It sounds pretty cool in game. Just like I remember in fact.
