what a gem of a game! well TBH i haven't even looked at anything file related yet, still getting a feel for this really awesome 4x space game

but what I'm posting is can we edit the starting conditions of a player? specifically I want to make it so I start with nothing but a planet and let me build from there vs starting with mining bases and all that stuff

nevermind this question, as I've soon learned, editing something like the starting rules of the game (variables like stars, races, technology, etc) is beyond the scope of modding and is restricted entirely into the exe, apparently.

You can use the in game editor, however the races will have an advantage.
