I know.. You'll probably give a little speech about how committed you are to the game and your customers and how this is a beta patch so "bugs are to be expected" but its absolute bull. If you had just entered the research screen and selected a research station (which isnt even pre designed... did you notice that?) you would know [8|]

And the matrix fan boys: Most probably don't even know any better but what you should know is that the fact you allow this crap to go through is the reason it exists.

Whatever. Ban me i guess. I don't think it really matters. I seriously doubt the game will ever become playable at this point. You'll spend so much time covering up the major bugs/crashes that the broken gameplay will never be addressed.

Freeware titles work better then this 60$ piece of trash.

It's a beta patch.

The "problems" with this game were well-documented. If you aren't willing to endure a brief test period, you shouldn't have bought it.

Check back when this is out of beta, Sigh.

Well, it is a beta patch after all. It fixes some bugs and introduces new ones sometimes.

FYI Sigh, this was a problem caused by the wrong version of one of the files being included in the build - not because it wasn't tested.

This has been fixed in the second version of the beta due out in a few hours time.

We listen and respond - you just need a bit more patience I think.

I shudder to think people that shoot their mouths (or in this case, hands) off  without thinking still exist in this world and shivers rack my spine to think that one such person has found his way to this forum!

@elliotg Yes ill say it again: Why do I need more patience. I already paid. Game is broken. May be repaired. Doesn't matter. Too late. You sold me a broken product that I can't return. Don't tell me to have patience. If I told you to have patience after selling you a broken [insert any physical object here] you may (rightfully) file a complaint to the FTC. (I think)

Having said that I am pleased that there is (supposedly, I haven't checked) a second beta update. It would be impossible (for others.. I'm not playing the unpaid beta tester) to test all the other things I predict are still wrong with the game without the ability to use an important ship type.

And to everybody who is oh so offended: You guys give the devs WAY to much credit. I think they can take my exaggerated criticism. Call it balance. At least until i go overboard and really do get kicked.

If the game reaches the potential (that i truly believe it has) I'll make up for it by jubilantly proclaiming its absolute greatness to the  world of internet nerds across the globe. Sorry I suck at this
