Hi,

I have just bought and downloaded the game, file named "DistantWorlds-SetupRelease-DR-v103.exe", 616 480 996 bytes.

From the main menu I cannot enter the options menu because of the following exception, could you please help me?

Moreover, I got a similar exception when starting a new game:

I tried re-downloading and re-installing the game but it did not change anything.

I installed the version the beta patch 1.04b2 but I still encounter the same bug, preventing me from playing.

If I understand correctly, this problem appeared from the very first time you launched the game, from a clean installation from our store download installer?

If you look in the following folder, do you see an "automationPrefs" file there? Anything else?

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Code Force Limited\Distant Worlds\1.0.3.0

Note that instead of "Administrator" above, just use the folder for your user/profile.

Erik, I'm awfully sorry, I cleaned windows temporary files (under C:\Users\[my user]\AppData\Local\Temp) then re-installed the game and it works now (re-installing it without cleaning temporary files did not seem to solve it though).
